Bigfoot Dave’s Inside Scoop: Sasquatch Sippers & Oktoberfest Keg Tappings in Helen This Weekend

Howdy, folks! Bigfoot Dave stomping through the woods and straight into Helen, Georgia, bringing you the lowdown on the Sasquatch Sippers (our exclusive THC mocktail) and everything inside town you gotta do this weekend for Oktoberfest. We’re talkin’ keg tappings, good drinkin’, great food—and none of the guesswork.

What’s Up This Weekend in Helen — All Inside Town

If you’re headed to Helen this weekend, here are the anchor points you don’t want to miss—inside the Helen Festhalle and nearby venues within town limits.

What You’ll See / Do

Helen Oktoberfest – Festhalle

Helen Festhalle, 1074 Edelweiss St.

Today & through this weekend: 1:00 PM → 11:00 PM on Saturday, and 1:00 → 7:00 PM Sunday.

Live German bands, traditional dancing, long tables, the Festhalle beer garden, German & American beers, lots of food (wursts, pretzels, etc.), and the vibe is full Bavarian party.

Keg Tapping Saturdays

Various inside Helen venues (starting at Cowboys & Angels, shifting to other spots every 30 minutes)

Saturday, September 20 starting at 12:00 PM at Cowboys & Angels, then rotating.

A rolling keg tap crawl—roaming from place to place every half hour—where the ritual of tapping goes off, fresh kegs, cheers, maybe some contests or giveaways depending on the venue. Good opportunity to sample and see many spots without leaving town.

Where Sasquatch Sippers Fits In

You know I wouldn’t come into town just yodeling about beers. If you’re looking for something different, something exclusive, something Bigfoot-approved, that’s where the Sasquatch Sippers come into play. Imagine a mocktail that’s lively, fruity, with that sweet THC buzz, perfect for pacing yourself while enjoying all the keg tapping and festival energy.

You’ll want to get yours inside Helen—ideally at Bigfoot Novelty & Tobacco (or whichever local shop has them in stock) to keep the festivities rolling without stepping outside. Sip it inside, hang out during keg tappings, then head into the Festhalle for live music and food, knowing you’ve got something special in hand.

Bigfoot Dave’s Itinerary Suggestion

Here’s how I’d roll through the day if I were you:

  1. Midday (around noon): Kick things off at Cowboys & Angels for the first keg tapping. Grab a Sasquatch Sipper here.

  2. After tap #1 (12:30-1:00 PM): Hit up another venue on the keg-tapping rotation. Taste another beer, cheers with locals.

  3. Lunch inside near the Festhalle. German food is plentiful—order something hearty so you can better enjoy the rest of the day.

  4. Afternoon/Early Evening: Head into the Festhalle for Oktoberfest proper—music, dancing, food, beer, and more keg action inside.

  5. Evening: As the crowd thickens, enjoy Sasquatch Sippers mingling with Festhalle’s atmosphere. Stay for live bands, maybe the chicken dance, soak up the indoor heat, the music, the laughter.
