Sasquatch’s Guide to the 2025 Spring Fun Run & Unicoi State Park: Trails, Tales, and a Puff of THX
Well howdy, humans! It’s your local fur-covered celebrity, Bigfoot—coming to you live (and slightly out of breath) from deep in the mountains of North Georgia. I just finished prepping for the 2025 Spring Fun Run at Unicoi State Park, and let me tell you—my calves haven’t burned this much since I outran a hiker with a GoPro.
If you’re looking for a wild, unforgettable outdoor experience this spring, Unicoi State Park is where it’s at. It’s just minutes from downtown Helen, and it’s got everything from scenic hiking trails to sparkling lakes—and yes, it’s also got me. If you spot something big, hairy, and sprinting in flip-flops… don’t panic. Just cheer. Don’t forget to stop by the shop before our after to reach some real location. Behind Circle K and Across from the welcome center. We got it all!
What’s the 2025 Spring Fun Run?
Held every April, the Spring Fun Run at Unicoi isn’t just a race—it’s a party in motion. Runners, walkers, strollers, and joggers all come together to enjoy the mountain air, lively music, and a little friendly competition. This year’s event takes place April 19, 2025, and features a 5K loop through the woods, plus food trucks, family games, and more trail-side entertainment than you can shake a walking stick at.
Bonus: The first 100 finishers get a commemorative “I Got Chased By Sasquatch” medal. Okay, not officially. But I’m pushing for it.
Trails, Tails, and Trout
When the race ends, the real fun begins. Unicoi State Park is over 1,000 acres of forested magic, perfect for hiking, fishing, or just soaking in nature’s vibes. I recommend the Lake Loop Trail for a relaxed stroll, or the Unicoi to Helen Trail if you’re feeling adventurous (and like possibly running into me, again).
The lake’s stocked with trout, and I’ve personally taught a few squirrels how to fly fish. They’re better than you’d expect.
The Secret to Post-Run Relaxation
Let’s be real—after a few miles of running (or fast waddling, in my case), you’ll need some proper chill time. That’s where Bigfoot Novelty & Tobacco comes in. Whether you’re looking for:
• Smooth, hand-rolled cigars to celebrate your victory lap
• Top-shelf THX products to soothe those sore muscles
• Or premium vapes for a cloud-worthy cooldown
We’ve got the goods to help you unwind, Sasquatch-style.
Tips from the Trail (And Fur Maintenance Advice)
• Arrive early: Parking fills up faster than I disappear into the woods.
• Bring water: Or coconut water, if you’re feeling bougie.
• Snap pics: Just be quick—I tend to photobomb unintentionally.
• Stop by Bigfoot Helen: I’ll be there post-run, possibly handing out “I Hugged Bigfoot” stickers. This might be a fact so stop by and say what’s up.
So whether you’re racing, hiking, fishing, or just in it for the selfies, the 2025 Spring Fun Run at Unicoi State Park is your springtime adventure ticket. I’ll see you on the trails—or maybe in the vape aisle at www.bigfoothelen.com. Either way, bring snacks.
Stay wild and enjoy Helen
